José Muralha from the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering – Portugal, will give an ISRM Lecture, “Rock joint shear tests. Methods, results and relevance for design” on Tuesday, May 29.
The purpose of the ISRM Lecture is to recognise a mid-career ISRM member who has made a significant contribution to a specific area of rock mechanics and/or rock engineering.

Eurock Award “Outstanding Paper Award for Young Scientist and Engineer”
In recognition of outstanding paper on rock mechanics and rock engineering published and presented at the EUROCK symposium.
The award shall be presented at the closing ceremony of EUROCK, by the ISRM VP Europe, on Wednesday May 30.
